Taxonomy

Meekella heterofolda was named by Liang (1990). It is a mold. Its type locality is Lengwu, upper Shiziling Member, Tonglu, which is in a Capitanian coastal marl/limestone in the Lengwu Formation of China.

Synonyms

Meekella perigeyerelloides was named by Shen et al. (1992).

It was synonymized subjectively with Meekella heterofolda by Shen and Shi (2007).
Asiomeekella heterofolda was named by Liang (1990).

It was synonymized subjectively with Meekella heterofolda by Clapham (2015).
