Australosuchus clarkae
Taxonomy
Australosuchus clarkae was named by Willis and Molnar (1991). Its type specimen is QM F16788, a partial skeleton (Almost complete skull and mandible, incomplete cervical and dorsal vertebrae, scapula, humerus and dermal armour), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tedford Locality, Lake Palankarinna, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine horizon in the Etadunna Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Australosuchus.
