Stangerochampsa mccabei
Taxonomy
Stangerochampsa mccabei was named by Wu et al. (1996). Its type specimen is RTMP.86.61.1, a partial skeleton (Almost complete skull with mandibles (lacking articulars and coronoids), partial postcranium and osteoderms), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry L1524 (RTMP), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Canada.
