Neogloboquadrina was named by Bandy et al. (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-l-l R]. It is extant. Its type is Neogloboquadrina dutertrei.

It was assigned to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Globorotaliidae by Kiessling (2003), Lam and Leckie (2020).
