Taxonomy
Stenolobulites depressus was named by Mikesh et al. (1988). Its type specimen is SUI 32674 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hill 4861, 4.8 km NW of Dugout Mountain, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Cathedral Mountain Formation of Texas.
