Taxonomy
Clausotrypa clara was named by Kruchinina (1986). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 101/916 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nariyan-Mar Well P-1, Kungurian, Malozemelskaya Tundra, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
