Taxonomy
Desmostroma chutense was named by Nestor et al. (2010). It is not extant. Its type locality is A276 Rivière a la Chute, Anticosti Island, which is in a Telychian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Chicotte Formation of Canada.
