Taxonomy
Fistuliramus permicus was named by Morozova (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3947/447 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC C-365, Trold Fiord, Ellesmere Island, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Trold Fiord Formation of Canada.
