Acanthopleuroceras thomsoni
Taxonomy
Acanthopleuroceras thomsoni was named by Smith and Tipper (1996). Its type specimen is GSC 9863 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC C-81712, Rennell Junction (GT3-Fannin Fm), Queen Charlotte Islands, B.C., which is in a Pliensbachian marine siltstone/mudstone in the Fannin Formation of Canada.
