Ianthodon schultzei
Taxonomy
Ianthodon schultzei was named by Kissel and Reisz (2004). Its type specimen is KUVP 133735, a partial skull (Skull roof, which is much flattened and partially disarticulated), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Garnett Quarry, which is in a Missourian fine channel fill mudstone in the Stanton Formation of Kansas. It is the type species of Ianthodon.
