Taxonomy
Neouddenites caurus was named by Nassichuk et al. (1965). Its type specimen is GSC 18787 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 60699, White Mountains, Richardson Mountains, which is in an Artinskian marine shale in Canada.
