Lyroschizodus orbicularis
Taxonomy
Lyroschizodus orbicularis was named by Newell and Boyd (1975). Its type specimen is USNM 177161, a valve (Left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM726r, Hess Canyon, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Word Formation of Texas.
