Taxonomy
Skinnerella mcallisteri was named by Stevens and Stone (2009). Its type specimen is USNM 934944 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CS-8, Conglomerate Mesa, which is in an Artinskian marine limestone in the Santa Rosa Flat Formation of California.
