Taxonomy
Brachycycloceras rustaqense was named by Niko et al. (1996). Its type specimen is MGL 72026 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rustaq, talus collection, central Oman Mountains, which is in a Roadian basinal (carbonate) packstone in the Hamrat Duru Formation of Oman.
