Sangiorgioichthys aldae
Taxonomy
Sangiorgioichthys aldae was named by Tintori and Lombardo (2007). Its type specimen is MCSNIO P457, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rio Vallone, Viggiù, Monte San Giorgio, which is in a Longobardian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Meride Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Sangiorgioichthys.
