Taxonomy
Penniretepora nodolineata was named by Richards (1959). Its type specimen is KUMIP 11188B2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Melvern, which is in a Virgilian marine horizon in the Kanwaka Formation of Kansas.
