Regispongia fluegeli
Taxonomy
Regispongia fluegeli was named by Rigby et al. (2005). Its type specimen is University Erlangen Senowbari-Daryan P1-10 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Kaftari, Esfahan, which is in a Capitanian shallow subtidal limestone in the Jamal Formation of Iran.
