Vanartinskia asiana
Taxonomy
Vanartinskia asiana was named by Ruzhentsev (1978). Its type specimen is PIN 3740/97 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shor-Bulak-Say River, sample 147/10, Pamir Mountains, which is in an Asselian marine sandstone in the Bazardarian Formation of Tajikistan. It is the type species of Vanartinskia.
It was recombined as Sicanites asiana by Furnish et al. (2009).
