Taxonomy

Neoguadalupia incrustans was named by Boiko (1991). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Iranothalamia incrustans by Senowbari-Daryan (2005).

Synonyms

Neoguadalupia norica was named by Senowbari-Daryan and Stanley (1992). Its type specimen is UMIP 6677 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MI 8608, Garfield Hills, which is in a Lacian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Luning Formation of Nevada.

It was synonymized subjectively with Neoguadalupia incrustans by Senowbari-Daryan and Hamadani (1999).
