Taxonomy
Amblysiphonella strobiliformis was named by Dieci et al. (1968). It is not extant. Its type locality is San Cassiano Fm, Alpe di Specie, which is in a Carnian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the San Cassiano Formation of Italy.
