Taxonomy
Stacheoceras xiukangense was named by Sheng (1984). Its type specimen is P3030 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Xiukang Limestone Block, Sample 80f-201, Lhaze County, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Quxia Formation of China.
