Taxonomy
Paeckelmannella calignea was named by Stehli and Grant (1971). Its type specimen is GSC 26169 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Svartevaeg Cliffs, Axel Heiberg Island, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in Canada.
