Meyerosuchus fuerstenbergianus
Taxonomy
Labyrinthodon fuerstenberganus was named by Meyer (1855). Its type specimen is FSD-1, a partial skull (Natural mold of anterior palate), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Herzogenweiler, which is in a Spathian terrestrial sandstone in the Hardegsen Formation of Germany.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Welles and Cosgriff (1965), Damiani (2001); it was recombined as Meyerosuchus fuerstenbergianus by Schoch (2011).
