Euposaurus thiollierei
Taxonomy
Euposaurus thiollierei was named by Lortet (1892). Its type specimen is MHNL 15683, a skeleton (complete specimen), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerin, Jura, which is in a Kimmeridgian terrestrial horizon in France.
It was corrected as Euposaurus thiolleri by Lortet (1982); it was considered a nomen dubium by Evans (1994); it was misspelled as Euposaurus thiolleri by Evans and Wang (2007).
