Buginbaatar transaltaiensis
Taxonomy
Buginbaatar transaltaiensis was named by Kielan-Jaworowska and Sochava (1969). Its type specimen is IGGP 62-b-2f, a set of teeth (incomplete upper dentition), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Haichin Ula I [SMGE, SMPE] (PIN coll. 4230), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Buginbaatar.
