Pselioceras ophioneus
Taxonomy
Nautilus ophioneus was named by Waagen (1879). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East of Katwahi, very lowest compact limestones, Middle Productus-limestone, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Pselioceras ophioneum by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Pselioceras ophioneus by Kummel (1953).
