Taxonomy
Lumectospongia uncinata was named by Rigby and Chatterton (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is 84.3 m height of section BH2, Cape Phillips Fm., Baillie-Hamilton Island, Northw, which is in a Ludlow slope limestone/shale in the Cape Phillips Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Lumectospongia.
