Taxonomy
Chonetes cracowensis was named by Etheridge (1872). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cracow Creek, which is in an Artinskian coastal siliciclastic in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Svalbardia cracowensis by Waterhouse (1986); it was recombined as Brachiosvalbardia cracowensis by Ceccolini and Cianferoni (2023).
