Taxonomy
Goniocladia immensa was named by Wass (1968). Its type specimen is SU 16413 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Buffel Hill, Cracow Station, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
