Taxonomy
Cyrtella subparallela was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F74136 and is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L4585, quarry along highway north of Theodore, Bowen Basin, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal siliciclastic in the Flat Top Formation of Australia.
