Taxonomy
Sulcicosta costata was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F74154 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4820, Buffel Hill, Cracow Station, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
