Taxonomy
Spaniocrinus geniculatus was named by Webster and Jell (1999). Its type specimen is QM F38987 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is QML518, Lucky Valley Creek, Elbow Valley, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine siliciclastic in the Condamine Formation of Australia.
