Taxonomy
Dichocrinus gerringgongensis was named by Webster (1990). Its type specimen is UWA 62961 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coastal platform 0.8 km S of Gerringong, which is in a Wordian marine mudstone in the Gerringong Formation of Australia.
