Taxonomy
Archaeoscyphia boltoni was named by Rigby and Nitecki (1973). It is not extant. Its type locality is Anticosti Island, Salmon River, which is in a Hirnantian shallow subtidal limestone in the Ellis Bay Formation of Canada.
