Taxonomy
Vauxia irregulara was named by Rigby and Collins (2004). It is not extant. Its type locality is Walcott Quarry, Fossil Ridge, Greater Phyllopod Bed, which is in a Delamaran deep-water shale in the Burgess Shale Formation of Canada.
