Taxonomy
Thamniscus siccus was named by Dreyer (1961). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Felsenberg-riff bei Öpitz, which is in a Wuchiapingian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Zechstein Formation of Germany.
