Yaguarasaurus columbianus
Taxonomy
Yaguarasaurus columbianus was named by Páramo (1994). Its type specimen is BRV-68, a partial skeleton (Skull and incomplete jaws, atlas, axis, first cervical vertebra, two anterior dorsal vertebrae and fragments of ribs), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Ocal stream, 26 km southwest of Neiva, which is in a Turonian marine horizon in the Villeta Formation of Colombia. It is the type species of Yaguarasaurus.
