Trinitichelys hiatti
Taxonomy
Trinitichelys hiatti was named by Gaffney (1972). Its type specimen is MCZ 4070, a partial skeleton (almost complete skeleton, lacking the lower jaw, caudal vertebrae, distal parts of the limbs, and posterior part of the shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 mile from Hardy, on road to Forestburg, which is in an Albian terrestrial horizon in Texas. It is the type species of Trinitichelys.
