Basiliola nitida
Taxonomy
Basiliola nitida was named by Cooper (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 549314, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17521, Highway 5 (WF 76), which is in a Calabrian/Pleistocene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal grainstone/limestone in the Naha Formation of Japan.
