Taxonomy
Genetreta trilix was named by Wotte and Mergl (2007). It is not extant. Its type locality is Genestosa, Barrios facies, which is in a Lenian deep subtidal ramp limestone in the Lancara Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Genetreta.
