Dinarites glacialis was named by Mojsisovics (1886).
It was recombined as Olenikites glacialis by Diener (1915), Spath (1934); it was synonymized subjectively with Olenikites spiniplicatus by Kummel (1969); it was recombined as Xenoceltites glacialis by Zakharov (1978); it was recombined as Timoceras glacialis by Dagis and Ermakova (1988), Dagis et al. (1996).
