Tanichthys ningjiagouensis

Taxonomy
Tanichthys ningjiagouensis was named by Jin (1991). Its type specimen is IVPP V8948.1, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ningchiakou, Mengyin, which is in a Berriasian/Valanginian terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Mengyin Formation of China. It is the type species of Tanichthys.
