Taxonomy
Youngichthys xinghuainsis was named by Wang and Liu (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southern Slopes of Tameishan, Changxing District, which is in a Changhsingian marine lime mudstone in the Changxing Formation of China.
