Taxonomy
Lapparentophis defrennei was named by Hoffstetter (1959). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is gour south of In Akhamil, which is in a Berriasian/Cenomanian terrestrial claystone in the Continental Intercalaire Formation of Algeria. It is the type species of Lapparentophis.
