Taxonomy
Halobia tozeri was named by McRoberts (2011). It is not extant. Its type specimen is GSC 1322207, a valve (conjoined valve pair). Its type locality is Clearwater Creek (CM99CWC-1), which is in a Tuvalian offshore limestone in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
