Asamiella japonica

Taxonomy
Naticella japonica was named by Hayasaka (1943). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kinshozan, Kuro zone, Akasaka, Gifu Prefecture, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan. It is the type species of Asamiella.

It was recombined as Asamiella japonica by Nützel and Nakazawa (2012).
