Gallardosaurus iturraldei
Taxonomy
Gallardosaurus iturraldei was named by Gasparini (2009). Its type specimen is MNHNCu P3005, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sierra de Caiguanabo, near Vinales, which is in an Oxfordian/Oxfordian transition zone/lower shoreface shale in the Jagua Formation of Cuba. It is the type species of Gallardosaurus.
