Taxonomy
Uraloceras extenuatum was named by Ruzhentsev (1956). Its type specimen is PIN 317/8409 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tas-Kabak ravine, Aidaralash Creek, which is in an Artinskian marine sandstone in Kazakhstan.
