Taxonomy
Quasicaecilia texana was named by Carroll (1990). It is not extant. Its type specimen is USNM 22079, a skull. Its type locality is Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas.
