Taxonomy
Naticopsis spectata was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 17221, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Foot of highest cliff ENE of Kumaranwali, Salt Range, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
